What sets
us apart?

There are many ways we go above and beyond your average Pelvic Floor Clinic. Here are just a few.

1. Sessions are always private, unrushed, and one-on-one.

Unlike a lot of other physical therapy practices where you spend 30 minutes in a noisy, open gym with a distracted therapist, at Foundations, you spend a full hour with your therapist in a private setting, where their entire focus is on you and your goals.

2. You will never be passed off to someone else.

Many clinics cut corners by using therapy aides, and inconsistent scheduling can lead to discomfort and stalled progress. Your therapist will always be a qualified Doctor of Physical Therapy, and is consistent from evaluation to the end of your plan of care, ensuring consistent progress, trust, and comfort throughout your care.

3. You'll receive hands-on, holistic assessment and treatment from an expert in pelvic and orthopedic care.

Our expert clinicians have completed residencies and have extensive post-doctoral training in manual orthopedic therapy, sports medicine, and performance enhancement. Thismeans that we provide only the highest-quality holistic treatment. Don't settle for "good enough" cookie-cutter treatment plans; invest in your health with Foundations Physical Therapy.

4. We'll prepare a highly specific, bespoke treatment plan, tailored to your unique needs.

Many clinics rely on old-fashioned treatments and outdated protocols to treat pain and injury. This leads to patients performing hours of non-specific, cookie-cutter exercises that don't target the root of their problem. Our therapists delve deep to find the root of your issue, using hands-on treatment to relieve pain and highly specific exercises that hone in on pain generators to eliminate your symptoms.

What can I expect during my                                             Physical Therapy evaluation?

It all starts with a conversation.

During your 90 minute evaluation, your physical therapist will listen to your full medical history, and will ask specific, directed questions to help guide us towards full understanding of your challenges and goals.

Hands-on Therapy.

Your physical therapist will use hands-on techniques, including soft tissue mobilization, joint mobilization, and stretching to assist your body's tissues in moving more efficiently and with less pain.

A comprehensive assessment.

Your physical therapist will use the information gathered to guide a specific physical assessment, including all body parts and regions that may be associated with your challenges.

Movement Training.

Your therapist will use hands-on techniques to get the appropriate muscles in your body to fire in a way that is strong, safe, and efficient, bridging the gap between how you move now and how you should move to avoid injury, pain, and inefficiency.

Education.

Your physical therapist will provide you with a thorough and relatable explanation for all findings of your exam, and will help you put the pieces together so that you have a clearer picture of your body's health and function.

A home exercise program.

Your therapist will finish by giving you 1-3 movements, stretches, or activities to do at home to reinforce the treatment received in clinic to build independence and allow you to progress more quickly.
